Uno slancio presuntuoso su un mondo che almeno da un punto di vista conoscitivo non mi appartiene, ovvero quello scientifico, fisico, astronomico, ma che in realtà poi è insito assieme ad altre molte cose nella curiosità umana. Per raccontare questa vicenda di intuizioni, 809 Lundia prende in analisi due enti che coesistono nello stesso universo ma che sono totalmente lontani fra loro: l’uomo, perché di facile immedesimazione, e un asteroide che risponde alle caratteristiche di un oggetto lontano dall’umano e dalle necessità e funzioni vitali di quest’ultimo.
Il processo inizia con l’osservazione fittizia di 809 Lundia, per l’appunto, un asteroide binario, ovvero una coppia di asteroidi legati da un’orbita in comune che instaurano una vera e propria relazione, condizionata dalle loro caratteristiche fisiche e dallo spazio e le vicissitudini intorno. Come noi.
La narrazione si evolve poeticamente, per immagini e figure retoriche, per assicurarsi un margine d’errore che sia giustificato dall’uso di un linguaggio romantico, che sarà il mezzo per il quale queste due storie di relazioni saranno raccontate e confrontate. Il fine è quello di arrivare da sé all’intuizione, così frivola e così profonda, allo stesso tempo, che le forme infinite dell’universo non possono che passare da un unico punto in comune (come infinite rette passano unicamente da un solo punto), definibile forse come il ciclo vitale al quale sottostiamo: quello di nascita e morte (salvo le eccezioni rarissime che comunque subiscono la trasformazione).
Ma tralasciando quella che potrebbe essere l’analisi fisica del fenomeno intero dell’evoluzione, che non compete forse a nessuno di noi, 809 Lundia è una storia d’amore, o anche molteplici di queste: quella tra due pietre di cielo, tra una pietra del cielo e una della terra, tra due uomini, fra l’uomo e il cielo, dal cielo all'uomo, fra l’uomo e la natura, dalla natura all’uomo, e ancora infinite combinazioni che non vedono distinzioni di sessi e misure, perché hanno altro di più grande a cui pensare.

A conceited leap into a world that from a cognitive point of view does not belong to me, that is to say the scientific, physical, astronomical one, a world that is inbuilt along with many other things in our human curiosity. To tell you this story of intuitions, 809 Lundia examines two entities who coexist in the same universe but are completely far away from each other: a man, a character easy to identify with, and an asteroid, an object distant from the man and his needs and vital functions. This process begins with the fictitious observation of 809 Lundia, a binary asteroid, namely, two asteroids bound together by the same orbit who allows the two to establish a relationship affected by their physical features and the space surrounding them. Just like us humans. The story evolves poetically with pictures and rhetorical figures that create a margin of error, so that the mistakes are justified by a romantic choice of words, that will narrate the story of the two relationships. The purpose is to reach to a both shallow and deep understanding of the mechanism of the universe, where all of its infinite forms must all pass through the same point (just like infinite lines all pass through the same point), a point that represents the circle of life that we are all subjected to: life and death (except for some rare exceptions, that cannot escape transformation anyway). Leaving out the physical analysis of evolution, that maybe doesn’t really belong to any of us, 809 Lundia is a love story, or many of these: the one between two space rocks, between a space rock and an earth rock, between two humans, between the man and the sky, from the sky to the man, between man and nature, from nature to the man and again infinite combinations without any distinctions between genders and shapes, because they have something greater to think about.
